Alisha Hendren, LCSW
Anxiety, big emotions, family changes, relationship struggles, behavioral concerns, or the pressures of growing up can leave young people feeling overwhelmed—and parents wondering what to do next. Alisha works with children, adolescents, and adults, with a special passion for helping teens navigate the complicated seasons of growing up.
Alisha understands that opening up isn’t always easy, especially for adolescents. Her warm, down-to-earth approach helps young people feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment. Rather than making therapy feel like another place where they’re being told what to do, she focuses on building a genuine relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and understood.
Through therapy, Alisha helps clients better understand their emotions, develop healthier ways of coping, strengthen confidence, improve relationships, and find their voice. When working with younger children, she incorporates play-based approaches that allow them to communicate and process experiences in ways that feel natural and developmentally appropriate.
Alisha also believes parents shouldn’t have to figure everything out alone. She enjoys partnering with parents and caregivers to better understand what may be happening beneath a child or teen’s behavior. Together, they explore family patterns, strengthen communication, build practical parenting tools, and work toward healthier relationships at home.
Whether she is sitting with a teen who doesn’t know how to put their feelings into words, supporting a child through difficult emotions, or helping a parent feel more confident in how they respond, Alisha’s goal is the same: to help families feel more connected, understood, and equipped to move forward..
